Fractals of Me

A single self divides into many recurring forms. Fractals of Me follows a person through body, memory, and relationship as a living pattern that keeps changing while remaining recognizable.

Fractals of Me uses the image of a fractal to portray an identity recurring at different scales. The same defense can appear in a minor gesture and a major life decision, while a similar desire returns through the body, relationships, and visions of the future. The lyrics describe skin as stars and bones as bars of light, but they do not offer a literal account of the human body. This is an altered moment of perception in which firm boundaries feel less certain and a person experiences the self as movement, rhythm, and relation among parts. Dissolving the self does not require rejecting personality. It reveals that no single form is the whole and that each contains traces of many earlier experiences. The final fractals of being are not an escape from humanity, but an image of life assembling itself again in every breath and encounter.
