Snow Drift
Sunlight, snow, and a moment when the world slips sideways. Fear and delight arrive together, and you discover that joy can make your hands shake too. Everything feels sharper, brighter, and a little less certain.
Sun catches a bend buried in snow, and suddenly the world moves in a direction you didn't expect. White powder lifts behind the car. For a second, you can't tell whether fear or delight has taken your breath away. Snow Drift holds you inside that moment, where a beautiful day can still surprise you and joy can make your whole body shake. The sideways slide reaches beyond the road. You know where you're heading, then life shifts beneath you and you have to find your balance again. There's no room to think it all through. Just warmth on your skin, a breath caught in your chest, and everything happening right now. As tension gives way to relief, you discover that beauty can leave you trembling too. Your breathing settles before your hands do. That lingering tremor holds the intensity of what you've just felt, along with the uncertainty you couldn't wish away. You come out of it wide awake, full of wonder, carrying a joy that leaves room for uncertainty.
