You are sitting among the remains of what used to be your life. You do not have to call them a new beginning yet. For now, it is enough to know they are not a grave.
The end of an important relationship, job, state of health, or faith is not always followed by immediate relief. Often there is only empty space and the question of who you are without the structure around which your life was built. This Is Not the End does not force anyone to be grateful for pain or claim that everything happened for a good reason. It allows an ending to be real while refusing to give it the final word. Ruins are not automatically a new home, but they may become material from which something can eventually be built. A new beginning does not have to look like an explosion of strength. Sometimes it is the first calm breath, the first decision of your own, or the morning when you are no longer only surviving. The story continues not because nothing serious happened, but because the ability to live, love, and create remains within you after it did.
