Stillness In Motion

Thoughts, emotions, the body, and the world never stop changing. Yet we can witness that movement without being carried away by every turn. The fifth track seeks a stillness that does not have to wait for life to stop.

Stillness In Motion turns attention away from the limits of the outer world and toward experience itself. A thought appears and vanishes, an emotion rises and fades, the body changes, and life around us keeps moving. Yet we are able to notice that change. The song explores the small space between what is happening and the awareness that it is happening. It does not present this as proof of an immortal soul or an unchanging point hidden inside us. It offers a more practical possibility. A thought does not have to become an order, and an emotion does not have to become our whole story. Stillness is not created by removing movement, but by changing our relationship with it. If peace must wait until every problem is solved and the world finally stops, it will remain somewhere in the future. Here it can appear within a life that continues to change, breathe, and flow.
