Creator Within

A person did not create everything that happened, but can help shape what happens next. Creator Within moves power away from blame and helplessness toward choice, action, and responsibility.

Creator Within arrives when inner recognition must become action. The original mantra calls the self the creator of reality, but the public meaning does not confuse this power with total control over the world. No one chooses every circumstance, body, loss, or action of others, and suffering cannot fairly be explained as a poorly created reality. The creator within is the capacity to notice the space that remains between an event and a response. The narrator stops feeding fear and blame, chooses a personal stance, and learns to carry the consequences of each decision. This world is mine does not mean ownership of the world, but a willingness to stop disappearing from one's own life. To create means giving experience a direction, bringing a more truthful word into relationship, and allowing joy to belong within a responsible life rather than using it to deny life's limits.
