The Illusion of Choice

You were given two options and chose one passionately. But did you ever ask who arranged them and why everything else was left off the menu?

Choose a side, wear its colors, and begin fighting the person opposite you. The stronger the emotion around the choice becomes, the less time remains to ask who defined the argument. The Puppeteer does not control every decision or follow one secret plan. His power appears wherever a complicated world is reduced to two permitted answers and loyalty to a team matters more than seeing reality honestly. The Illusion of Choice does not claim that choices are meaningless. It asks you to examine the menu before making one. There may be a third path, the question itself may be wrong, or it may be time to leave a game that has produced years of conflict without movement. Free choice does not begin by selecting one offered option. It begins with the right to look beyond their frame.
