Reprogram Me

When you keep hitting the same wall in different surroundings, it may not be fate. It may be an old rule still running inside you, one you can finally stop obeying.

Nothing ever works out for me. I have to be perfect or no one will love me. People like me cannot do this. Some sentences repeat for so long that we stop hearing them as sentences and begin treating them as reality. The Programmer may have written them with a single childhood remark, repeated humiliation, or an experience we were too young to understand. Reprogram Me captures the moment when an automatic thought is first recognized as a learned instruction. What was written long ago does not have to govern the rest of your life. Covering an old belief with an attractive opposite is not enough. You first have to notice when it runs, what it once tried to protect you from, and what it costs you now. Only then can you answer in your own voice. The mind is not a verdict. It is a place for which you gradually reclaim responsibility.
