A pair of eyes appears in the mirror and you know them far too well. This night race has no opponent except your own shadow and every turn draws closer to the moment when you must finally meet yourself.

Midnight flows through black glass and something moves in the mirror with eyes that are far too familiar. The engine burns beneath the skin, the road turns red with the past, and the driver accelerates even though nobody is ahead. Racing Myself transforms a night drive into a psychological hunt in which a person pursues his own darker form. Every attempt to escape only confirms that the shadow is riding inside the same car. It smiles from within, silence screams, and the mirror redraws the boundary between who the driver wants to be and what he refuses to see in himself. Speed brings intoxication but no real escape. The climax is therefore not a victory over an opponent. It is a collision in which the night answers with equal force and the soul ignites directly on the track. The song captures the moment when one's own shadow cannot be overtaken and must finally be recognized. The mirror darkens at the end but the feeling remains because a person may leave the road but cannot leave behind the part of himself he saw there.
