Crying Gold

Some tears never stop being pain, yet in time they begin to reflect light. Crying Gold is about the moment a person stops hiding sorrow and discovers within it something true enough to share.

Crying Gold captures an experience almost everyone meets in one form or another. Something has happened, the loss cannot be reversed, and yet life expects us to continue as though nothing inside has changed. Held tears do not disappear. They remain in breath, body, and voice until someone or something finally gives them permission to move. The violin sounds like a cracked human voice, carrying grief from quiet restraint into a vast and luminous release. The gold in the title is not a reward for suffering, and the track does not claim that every pain must make a person better. It names the beauty that can appear when sorrow no longer has to be denied, diminished, or carried alone. The pain has not left, and the past has not been repaired. Its shape has changed. What once enclosed a person becomes a truthful sound, a human touch, and the possibility that somebody else may recognize themselves within it. To cry gold is to keep one's sensitivity even when that sensitivity is exactly what hurt so much.
