Triprism

The same person can see one world in entirely different ways at different moments. A single view separates into a spectrum of possibilities, revealing how much depends on the angle of perception.

Joy, fear, memory, and expectation can transform the way we experience the same situation. Triprism compares that changeability to a prism separating one beam of light into an entire spectrum of color. The self appears as a collection of versions that come to the fore depending on circumstances and perspective. Reality may have a solid foundation, yet we always meet it through our history, mood, and quality of attention. Looking from the inside out can therefore reveal as much about the observer as it does about the object being observed. Every reflection may belong to the same person without matching perfectly. Triprism encourages greater flexibility in the way we judge ourselves and others. More than one perspective can preserve solid ground while revealing colors that remained hidden within a single view.
