At first glance nothing matters. Seen as a whole, everything does. This contemplative journey moves through emptiness, motion, and change until two apparent opposites reveal one truth about connection.
Within empty space there is not yet any fixed meaning, gain, or loss. Matters begins with a sentence that could sound hopeless, yet it does not lead toward indifference. If nothing matters as a separate and unchanging object, the need to hold and control everything can loosen. Something still moves. Motion reveals change as the underlying reality and suggests that what we call an ending or beginning may simply be another form of the same current. The second half reverses the original statement. Once individual parts are seen within the whole, everything matters because no choice or existence stands entirely alone. The apparent contradiction between nothing and everything is therefore not a logical mistake. It is one reality viewed from two distances. Up close, fixed meanings dissolve. From farther away, their connections become visible. The song offers no final doctrine and demands no agreement. It creates a quiet space for the possibility that emptiness does not have to deny value and interdependence does not have to erase freedom. In the end, both statements can point toward the same truth of continual change within an undivided whole.
