Mirror of My Soul

Mirror of My Soul looks for the self through encounters, tears, unfamiliar eyes, and rain. Another person is not an empty surface for projection but a living mirror through which an unknown part of the self may be discovered.

Mirror of My Soul follows self knowledge as it forms through relationship with the world. Sky within breath, a personal trace in another face, rivers of light, and nameless eyes all suggest that identity does not emerge in complete isolation. Joy and pain can reveal something about the person who experiences them. The chorus therefore finds the speaker's soul through another and wholeness through tears. This does not reduce another person to a mirror or claim that pain is healing by itself. An encounter offers material while meaning and responsibility remain personal. The declaration that no mirror exists outside the self intensifies a feeling of connection without erasing other people's independence. It describes an outer experience resonating within and joining one's own story. The repeated claim of never being alone does not deny loneliness. It remembers that even a solitary person carries traces of relationships, voices, and a world that helped shape awareness.
