I Am the One

What remains when a person stops dividing themselves into light that may be shown and shadow that must be hidden? I Am the One seeks wholeness beyond the war of opposites and the names that separate us.

I Am the One enters a space where opposites do not stop being different but cease to function as weapons in a war against the self. The narrator recognizes himself as silence and flame, sinner and saint, question and the awareness able to hold it. This does not claim that good and evil carry equal value in human action or that consequences do not matter. The song reaches beneath the judgment of a particular act toward the whole from which our capacity to love, hate, create, and destroy can emerge. The mind divides the world in order to understand it, while the soul longs to embrace even the parts that resist simple categories. The divine is therefore neither distant nor reserved for the pure half of life. It appears in the ability to see shadow without denial, light without pride, and another person as someone arising from the same mystery. I Am the One does not search for a name for the final truth. It allows wholeness to remain unnamed.
